Chris Rock is one of the most successful and influential comedians of all time.

He has won four Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards, and an Oscar nomination for his work in stand-up, film, and television.

But did you know that he is not the only talented member of his family?

Chris Rock has seven siblings who are also accomplished in their own fields.

In this article, we will introduce you to the seven brothers and sisters of Chris Rock and tell you some interesting facts about them.

Charles “Shabazz” Ledell Rock

Charles is the oldest sibling of Chris. He was born on Oct. 5, 1953.

Charles had a big influence on his younger brother Tony. Tony said, “He always included me… He was a big part of my life.” They spent time together, and Charles even taught Tony how to play basketball and box.

Sadly, Charles passed away in Harlem, New York, on Feb. 4, 2006, at the age of 52.

Andre Rock

Andre was born on April 16, 1967, in Brooklyn to Rose and Julius.

He’s two years younger than his brother Chris.

They grew up in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Now, Andre manages a trucking business called Julius Rock Trucking in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

It’s named after his dad, Julius.

He mostly keeps his life private and away from the public eye.

Tony Rock is also a comedian and an actor, who followed in Chris’s footsteps.

He has his own stand-up specials, such as ‘Tony Rock: Live at the Star Dome’ and ‘Tony Rock: Game of Dating’.

He also starred in Chris’s show ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ as Uncle Tony, a character based on their real-life uncle.

Tony is friends with many celebrities, such as Will Smith, Kevin Hart, and Dave Chappelle.

Brian Rock

Brian Rock, born around 1976, is the fifth sibling in the Rock family.

According to Rose in 2016, he works as a minister, but not much else is known about his personal life. Brian has shown support for his brother Chris at public events.

There’s a photo of him, along with his mom and siblings, at a New York City afterparty for Chris’ movie “Good Hair” in October 2009.

On April 16, 1979, which is exactly 12 years after Andre was born, Rose and Julius had another son named Kenneth “Kenny” Rock.

Similar to Chris and Tony, Kenny is an actor and has been in movies like Vesuvius (2018), Coincidental Killer (2016), and Hope a Brooklyn Story (2014).

In 2016, The Sun News mentioned he worked for Scholastic. According to his Instagram, he’s known as “the rebellious one” in the Rock family.

In an interview in June 2022, Kenny shared that he used to box when he was younger. He even won a celebrity boxing match against Josh Colon from The Real World: D.C.

Andi Rock is the only girl among the Rock siblings, born on March 18, 1985.

She moved from New York to South Carolina with her family and attended Winthrop University.

In 2016, Andi worked as a therapist for children with autism and lived in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Andi shared with The Sun News that she learned a lot from her mom while growing up, especially the importance of treating everyone with respect, whether it’s a judge or a janitor.

She mentioned, “Everyone deserves respect, which is why to this day I say ‘Hello’ to everyone I encounter.”

Although Andi usually keeps a low profile, she got married to Brett Nelson on Nov. 14, 2020, and referred to it as a “micro wedding” on Instagram.

She’s also close to her famous brother, Chris, and in a May 2017 Instagram post, she called him one of her “favorite people.

Jordan Rock, the youngest in the Rock family, was born on Feb. 10, 1991, and grew up in Georgetown, South Carolina.

While his older siblings had a different upbringing, Rose moved the family to Georgetown, according to The New York Times.

Jordan left high school early and, at 18, relocated to Brooklyn to chase his comedy dreams.

He acknowledged being inspired by his brothers, especially Chris, in 2019 in an interview.

Despite the inspiration, being Chris’ brother posed challenges, and Jordan has expressed at times wishing for a simpler name like Ronaldo.

In 2015, Jordan joined his brother Tony on the road, and a year later, he had a breakthrough role on the Netflix series Love.

This was followed by a part in Big Time Adolescence (2019) alongside Pete Davidson, and he also starred in Davidson’s Netflix special Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends.

Beyond his career, Jordan has developed a closer bond with his big brother Chris over the years.

Conclusion

Chris Rock is not only a comedy legend, but also a proud brother of seven siblings who are all talented and successful in their own ways.

They share a strong bond and a sense of humor that runs in the family.

They are also supportive and respectful of each other’s achievements and endeavors.

Chris Rock’s siblings are truly an inspiration to us all.
