Their parents, Joel and LaVonne, were third-generation farmers who owned a 1,200-acre ranch where they grew cotton, wheat, grapes, melons, and pistachios.
The Allen siblings, including their older sister Nicala and younger sister Makenna, learned to work hard and help out on the farm from an early age.

He accepted the offer and red-shirted his freshman year. He then became the starting quarterback in his sophomore year and led the Cowboys to two bowl games.

Likewise, he impressed NFL scouts with his arm strength, mobility, and leadership, and he decided to declare for the draft after his junior year.
Furthermore, he was selected by the Buffalo Bills with the seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, becoming the highest-drafted player from Wyoming in history.
Jason, on the other hand, chose to pursue baseball, his favorite sport. He also received only one scholarship offer, from Reedley College, a junior college in California.
He enrolled there and played as a catcher for two years. Jason then transferred to Saddleback College, another junior college in California, where he continued to play baseball.
Likewise, he hoped to get drafted by an MLB team, but he did not hear his name called in the 2019 MLB Draft.
He did not give up on his dream, though. He decided to walk on at Fresno State University, a Division I program in the Mountain West Conference, where he joined the baseball team as a senior in 2020.

Despite their different paths and distances, Josh and Jason have remained very close and supportive of each other.
They talk on the phone almost every day and text each other frequently. They also visit each other whenever they can and attend each other’s games.
