Isaiah Roberson: The Heartbroken Brother

Isaiah Roberson is Imani’s older brother, who had a close bond with her since they were children.

They used to talk every day, and he considered her as his best friend.

He was also fond of his brother-in-law, Donell Anderson, whom he had known for 10 years and treated as family. The allegations against him shocked and betrayed him. He stated that he wanted the person responsible for what he did to his sister to “rot in jail.”

Isaiah has been vocal about his grief and anger on social media, posting several tributes to his sister and calling for justice.

He also spoke to [The Independent] and said that he was “heartbroken” by the loss of his sister, who he described as “a beautiful person inside and out”.

He said that he hoped that her death would raise awareness about domestic violence and help other victims to escape abusive relationships.

Isaiah has also been supportive of his mother, Clarine Andujar-White, who reported Imani as missing and led the search for her.

Iesha Roberson: The Outraged Sister

Iesha Roberson is Imani’s younger sister, who looked up to her as a role model.

She admired her sister’s strength, intelligence, and kindness, and said that she was “the best sister anyone could ask for”. Iesha was also close to Donell Anderson, whom she called “brother” and trusted as a family member.

She was enraged by his actions, and said that he deserved “the death penalty” for killing her sister.

Iesha has also expressed her sorrow and outrage on social media, posting several tributes to her sister and calling for the prosecution of her killer.

She wrote on Facebook: “I love you so much sis. You didn’t deserve this. You were such a great mother, daughter, sister, friend, cousin, niece, granddaughter. You were loved by so many people. You had a bright future ahead of you. You were taken away from us too soon.”

Brother-in-law of murdered Georgia mom arrested for helping to dispose of her body

Imani Roberson, a 28-year-old mother of four, left her mother’s house in Atlanta with two of her children on July 16, 2023.

However, she didn’t make it home that night, prompting her family to report her disappearance the following day.

Shortly thereafter, authorities discovered her burnt and dismembered car near Atlanta, and the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office conducted a two-week search before locating her body on August 6, 2023.

Law enforcement arrested and charged her husband, Donell Anderson, as the prime murder suspect. His charges include felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm.

He stands accused of shooting his wife within their Conyers home, situated approximately 24 miles east of Atlanta. He then allegedly collaborated with his brother, Cedarius Glaze, to eliminate incriminating evidence.

On August 8, 2023, authorities took Cedarius Glaze, 28, into custody, charging him with tampering with evidence, concealing a deceased body, and arson, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office claims that Glaze actively participated in disposing of Roberson’s body. As a result, they transferred him from Rockdale County Jail to South Fulton, where the crimes took place.

A tragic loss for the family

Roberson’s family is devastated by the loss of their loved one, who they described as a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Her mother, Clarine Andujar-White, said she knew something was wrong when she couldn’t reach her daughter on July 17, 2023.

She went to her daughter’s house and found it empty. She then filed a missing person’s report with the police.

“When I couldn’t reach Imani almost three weeks ago, I knew something was wrong,” Andujar-White said. “When her body was located Friday night our worst fears were confirmed.”

Roberson’s father was emotional during a press conference, revealing that his daughter was the “third child I’ve lost to the state of Georgia.”

“I’ve seen all I can see,” he said. “Three of my babies gone.”

Roberson leaves behind four children, aged between one month and six years old. They are currently in the custody of their grandmother.

A case of domestic violence

According to the sheriff’s office, Roberson was a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her husband. They said they had evidence that Anderson had abused her physically and emotionally before killing her.

One of Roberson’s children, a three-year-old boy, witnessed his father shoot his mother and was in the car with his one-month-old sibling as Anderson and Glaze moved the body, according to deputies.

The sheriff’s office said they had received multiple tips from the public that helped them locate Roberson’s body and arrest the suspects. They also thanked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the South Fulton Police Department for their assistance in the case.

“This case is a prime example of how domestic violence can escalate to murder,” Sheriff Eric Levett said. “We urge anyone who is experiencing abuse or knows someone who is to seek help before it is too late.”

Imani Roberson was more than just a victim of domestic violence.

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, student, and worker who had dreams and goals for herself and her children.

Her death has left a void in the lives of many people who knew her and cared for her, especially her siblings, Isaiah and Iesha, who have been vocal about their grief and anger.

They, along with the rest of their family, are seeking justice for Imani and hoping to prevent such tragedies from happening to other women.
