Jonathan Lyndale Kirk who goes by the stage name ‘DaBaby’ is a prominent American rapper born on December 22, 1991.

DaBaby had an older brother called Glenn Johnson whose life tragically ended on November 3, 2020, at the age of thirty-four.

Glen took his own life through a self-inflicted gunshot wound leaving behind four children.

Glen Johnson born in 1986, was the older brother of DaBaby.

He sadly passed away in 2020 as a result of suicide.

On November 3, 2020, at approximately 1:39 pm, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a shooting incident.

Upon their swift arrival, they discovered Glen’s body.

He was promptly transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Initially categorized as a death investigation, the incident was later confirmed as a suicide.

DaBaby was well aware of his brother’s mental health struggles, addressing them in his music.

In his song “Intro,” he expresses,

  • “My brother be thinkin’ that we don’t love him and let him struggle like we ain’t family. Like I won’t give up all I got to see you happy.”

At the time of Glen’s passing, he was 34 years old and left behind three daughters and a son.
