He attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School, where he played both basketball and baseball.

He led his basketball team to a state championship in his senior year and earned All-American honors in baseball.

Mychel Thompson followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued a basketball career.

He played college basketball for Pepperdine University.

where he averaged 11 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

He was not drafted by the NBA after graduating from Pepperdine.

But he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers’ G-League affiliate team, the Erie Bayhawks, in 2011.

Mychel Thompson made his NBA debut with the Cavaliers in 2012, playing five games and scoring 19 points.

He then played for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the G-League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, where he teamed up with his brother Klay.

He also played overseas for teams in Italy, Greece, and France.

Mychel Thompson is now retired from basketball, but he still mentors his younger brothers and helps them improve their game.

He also runs a basketball training program called the Thompson Family Foundation, where he teaches young players the fundamentals and skills of the sport.

Trayce Thompson: The Youngest Brother and the Baseball Star

Trayce Thompson is the youngest of the three Thompson brothers, born on March 15, 1991, in Los Angeles, California.

He also attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School, where he excelled in both basketball and baseball.

He was a star in both sports, leading his basketball team to a state championship in his senior year and earning All-American honors in baseball.

Trayce Thompson had committed to playing college baseball for UCLA, but he changed his mind when he was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the second round of the 2009 MLB draft.

He decided to sign with the White Sox and pursue his dream of becoming a professional baseball player.

He hit his first major league home run on August 11, 2015, against Hector Santiago of the Los Angeles Angels.

Trayce Thompson bounced around several teams after leaving the Dodgers, including the Oakland Athletics, the Chicago White Sox (again), the Chicago Cubs, and the San Diego Padres.

In 2023, Trayce Thompson signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets, hoping to revive his career and make it back to the big leagues.

He was selected in the first round of the 2011 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors with the 11th overall pick.
