Francis Antetokounmpo

Francis is the eldest of the five brothers, born in Lagos, Nigeria on Oct. 20, 1988. He stayed with his grandparents in Nigeria while his parents and younger brothers moved to Greece in search of a better life. Francis followed his father’s footsteps and became a professional soccer player, playing for various Nigerian and Greek clubs. He also pursued a career in music, releasing his debut single “Shekosi” in 2020 under the stage name Ofili.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Thanasis is the second oldest brother, born in Athens, Greece on July 18, 1992. He started playing basketball with Giannis at a young age, and they both joined the Greek club Filathlitikos. Thanasis was drafted by the New York Knicks in 2014, but only played two games for them. He then played in the NBA Development League, Spain, and Greece, before reuniting with Giannis on the Bucks in 2019. Thanasis won his first NBA title with Giannis in 2021.

Kostas was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2018, but was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. He then signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019, and became the first Antetokounmpo to win an NBA title in 2020. Kostas currently plays for the French club LDLC ASVEL.

Alex Antetokounmpo

Alex is the youngest brother, born in Athens, Greece on Aug. 26, 2001. He also moved to the United States with his family in 2013, and played high school basketball in Wisconsin.
Alex decided to skip college and play professionally in Europe, signing with the Spanish club UCAM Murcia in 2020. He is considered a promising prospect for the NBA, and has been invited to participate in the 2023 NBA All-Star Skills Challenge with Giannis and Thanasis.
